VOLUNTEER WORK AT HOPE FREE CLINIC

At Mediviron UOA Clinic, our doctors and staff whole-heartedly believe in reaching out to the underprivileged and less fortunate. As part of our social responsibility, we participated in volunteer work at HOPE Free Clinic, a charity program organized by HOPE Worldwide Malaysia (visit their website here), on 23rd April 2013, from 10am till 4.30pm.

HOPE Worldwide Malaysia has been running the HOPE Free Clinic in Kuala Lumpur since November 21, 2000, registered as ‘Persatuan Kebajikan HOPE worldwide Kuala Lumpur (ROS number 2381). To date, the clinic has provided consultations and education to more than 5,000 patients, with over 20,000 visits. All medications prescribed and treatments given are completely free of charge.

Dr. Chen Tai Ho from Mediviron UOA Clinic

During the event, we participated in volunteer work at HOPE Free Clinic by dispensing medications and conducting blood and urine tests for the underprivileged. Dr. Chen Tai Ho from Mediviron UOA Clinic attended to more than 50 patients, the majority of whom were Myanmar and Sri Lankan refugees, as well as locals from poor family backgrounds facing financial difficulties. This volunteer work at HOPE Free Clinic focused on helping patients with chronic illnesses such as hypertension and diabetes, as well as children and the elderly suffering from coughs, colds, joint aches, malnutrition, and skin diseases.
