Mesobrightening – under eye

Mesotherapy is a technique whereby microscopic quantities of medical grade pharmaceuticals, vitamins, minerals and amino acids are administered into the upper and middle layers of the skin in order to treat a variety of ailments.

This method has gained special recognition within aesthetic medicine as it is the most effective non-surgical technique for skin rejuvenation and treatment of skin conditions on both the face and body. No one topical application of cream can deliver the biological active ingredients into the skin cells and activate skin metabolism as effectively as mesotherapy.

In Nexus, using special cocktails of brightening solutions from USA, Australia, UK and Europe, dark pigmentation under and surrounding the eye can be reduced by mesotherapy.

FAQ & Questions.

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions by you, answered by our doctors.

Periorbital dark circles (also known as dark circles) are dark blemishes around the eyes. There are many causes of this symptom, including heredity , pigmentation and bruising

In most cases, the dark circles under the eyes are blood vessels that can be seen through the skin. The skin around the eyelids (periorbital skin) is the thinnest skin in the body (around 0.5 mm thick compared with 2mm in other areas). Like varicose veins, dark circles under the eyes are usually an inherited trait. When blood passes through the large veins close to the surface of the skin, it can produce a bluish tint. The more transparent the skin—also an inherited trait—the darker the circles appear. In people with a deep-set bone structure, shadowing can also contribute to the dark color under the eyes

  • It is progressive and very effective.
  • It is safe, with no side effects.
  • It offers an alternative to plastic surgery.
  • It requires little or no post-treatment down time (redness may last for a maximum of one day).

The micro-injections technique administers the mesotherapy cocktail by means of intra-dermic micro-injections, placing the nutrients directly into the target tissues. The needle also creates micro perforations that induce a healing process, which stimulates your skin to produce collagen and elastin – two of the key building blocks of skin.

With the micro-injection method, most people only feel minimal discomfort; however, if you do feel discomfort there is a topical anaesthetic that can be applied to the skin to remove this sensation. There are no side effects for this procedure.

The treatment requires no down time which enables most people to return to their normal activities straight away.

The speed of the results depends on the extent of the condition or area being treated. Normally it will take 1-2 days for results to visibly appear after the treatment. For areas such as eye fat bags, results can be seen after 1-2 treatments whereas for body fat it takes 2-4 treatments.

The results do last, however we cannot stop the natural ageing process. Therefore we recommend regular maintenance treatments. This applies to both face and body treatments. Cellulite results can be maintained with a healthy diet and regular exercise.
